Trinetra is an interconnect developed in India for HPC as an indigenous alternative to InfiniBand. I associate it with C-DAC, but I’m not really sure who all makes it.
It is a switchless fabric that composes into meshes and toruses. NICs come in two flavors:
- 6x100G
- 10x200G
Its primary interface is libfabric. It does not natively support TCP or verbs, so C-DAC added verbs emulation in 2026 to enable its use with kverbs (for Lustre support).1
