Discovery (OLCF)

Discovery is the follow-on to Frontier at Oak Ridge National Laboratory that will be delivered in 2028. From the press release,¹

• It will be based on the Cray GX platform
• Venice CPUs
• AMD MI430X GPUs
• “Next generation” Slingshot
• Cray E2000 Lustre appliances, presumably for its parallel file system
• Cray K3000 DAOS appliances, presumably for its AI file system
