Solstice is a large AI supercomputer to be deployed at/by/with Argonne National Laboratory in collaboration with NVIDIA and OCI. It will have 100,000 Blackwell GPUs, but little other information is available.1 It is unclear who is paying for this, where it will be sited, or exactly what “science research and innovation” this is being built for.

Equinox is a 10,000-GPU Blackwell supercomputer that sounds like an early access version of Solstice that will be available in 2026.1

Three other NVIDIA systems named Tara, Minerva, and Janus were also announced. No details are information about these beyond the implication that they are being deployed in collaboration with NVIDIA and OCI.
